Not only did the Great Debaters place in the tournament, but Fredrick Wright and Christian Armstrong brought home the victory by winning fist place.

“It was a redeeming event,” said Christian Armstrong, a first place winner.

Not far behind them were Christopher Flix and Matthew Ealy   with second place.

“The level of competition has been raised and we will definitely have to work harder to be successful,” said Christopher Flix, a second place winner.

The debate team has been meeting up on Tuesdays and Thursdays to make sure that they were successful.
